We work in the dark.
We do what we can.
We give what we have.
Our doubt is our passion.
Our passion is our task.
The rest is the madness of art.

"...Most of all, though, I feel the city sleeping. Sleeping from the river on the west to the ocean on the east,
like some rootless island rockabying itself on nothing at all."

As I lie awake the other night -mind racing- I thought about what my first post could be, breaking the silence here. I'll often listen to Green Arrow to soothe me to sleep, and I'm usually asleep before the song is done. I thought about music and how much meaning a handcrafted playlist can hold (I take few things in life more seriously). I thought about ways to share that, here. While I most often use spotify to compile aimlessly, I wanted these lists to family a bit more, so I landed on the idea of conceptual collections. The obvious first concept choice was sleep. I liked the idea of trying to compile the songs in order of one's sleep pattern; starting with songs talkin about sleepin, into songs about fallin asleep, into dreaming, waking ...on to breakfast. I'm hoping to share more collections soon and I hope you enjoy!
Life is finally slowing down, but has been grand- I'll have some updates later this week.
