Here I share various visual exercises,
new works, scrapshots of places and things; evidences of life and living
in St. Louis, U.S.A.

A complicated, romantic thing involving
paper scraps, stringed instruments
and phases of the moon

We work in the dark.
We do what we can.
We give what we have.
Our doubt is our passion.
Our passion is our task.
The rest is the madness of art.

recent work -- identity design: Cindy Lee Photography

Earlier this year I had the opportunity to design a new identity system for Cindy Lee Photography, a really great St. Louis-based lifestyle and wedding photographer. Cindy came up with a few keywords detailing her style and what she'd like her brand to convey: celestial, mystical, unique. I had a lot of fun exploring how to graphically illustrate that for her and her work and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. I was thrilled to get this response from Cindy at the project's wrap: "It's so unique and somehow perfectly describes me and my work, I don't know how you did it, I couldn't love it more!"
